I found my love for fitness shortly after starting my undergraduate study at Oakland University. That love lead to a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with a concentration in Exercise Science. While studying at Oakland, I also completed an internship with the Strength and Conditioning Department, working with OU’s Division 1 Student Athletes and learning from the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Since graduating, I have kept a passion for learning and have earned many nationally recognized certifications that allow me to work with clients from almost any level of fitness. In the near future, I intend on studying for my Master’s Degree in Sports Performance.

I am working towards earning my Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Oakland University. My love for the fitness world started in high school while I played baseball and hockey at Troy Athens. I then took my baseball career to the next level and began to play for college baseball at Bluffton University in Ohio. While at Bluffton, I studied history with a minor in coaching. My coaching profession continues, as I have been the Head JV Baseball Coach at Troy Athens for the past three years. I also train the students through strength training programs during their off-season. Once I recognized my overwhelming passion for fitness, I received my Certification in Personal Training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I truly enjoy fitness and nutrition as they have both become a major part of my everyday life. As my client, I will work with you as a team – your goals become my goals. Through hard work and dedication anything is possible.

I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a concentration in Exercise Science. While at OU, I was fortunate to have completed a Strength and Conditioning Internship where I had the opportunity to work with Oakland’s athletes. Through my college career, I worked with rehab patients with a broad range of physical challenges and assisted them in their path to recovery with Functional Movement Training. My passion for CrossFit grew over the years as I consistently coached my clients to use their body as a unit. My aim is to combine my expertise in CrossFit and Functional Movement Training and take human movement to the next level. I believe core strengthening is key to a successful training program, with a strong foundation there is only one way to go, up!

My passion for fitness began at a young age, as I have played sports since I was six years old. I participated in softball and basketball until I was 14, and continued with lacrosse throughout high school and college. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and minor in Psychology. During the last semester of school, I was able to intern for Hands On Physical Therapy where I aided patients in strengthening muscles that had been previously injured. It was during this time, I recognized my love for educating others about health and fitness, which lead to my decision of becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. To aid in someone else’s positive transformation, whatever that change may be, is a privilege that should never (and will never) be taken for granted.

Growing up, I enjoyed playing a variety of sports. Therefore, I quickly learned the importance of physical fitness and the difference it can make in one’s life. I went on to attend Northern Michigan University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and also obtained my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While working on my degree, I was fortunate enough to complete an internship with the Macomb Intermediate School District. It was there that I really developed a passion for helping people achieve their goals of mobility and physical fitness. I furthered my experience working at a Physical Therapy office where I saw the amazing benefits associated with a well-rounded and well-executed exercise program. My goal for each client is to increase their
fitness, health, and wellbeing.

I have always been an active person throughout my entire life. Throughout middle/high school, I was involved in several sports such as basketball, volleyball, and track. During my track career, my team mates and I qualified for the 3200m relay. After graduating high school, I met my fiancé Andrew – who is also a personal trainer at Burn Fitness. We enjoy and share the same healthy lifestyle. I started training with Andrew as a client and it didn’t take long for me to realize how much I love exercise. I have witnessed how important working out and becoming healthy is. Living well has pushed me to become the best version of myself, and I want to do the same for other people.

Before graduating from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI), I discovered my passion for training at a young age when introduced to weight training for my personal athletic development. I continued my devotion for mental and physical enhancement by serving as a U.S. Marine for five years. Upon departing the service, I attended NPTI and have continued my education by studying Exercise Science. Since obtaining multiple CrossFit Certifications, I have incorporated several different techniques (such as body weight and functional training) into my fitness program designs. My clients learn to move correctly to help further enhance their daily activities. I am constantly striving to expand my knowledge for my clients by studying under today’s greatest leaders in the fitness industry.
